We wrapped up the Riyadh International Disputes Week with our incredibly well-attended networking event titled “An Evening of Connections: The Middle East and Beyond”, which was held at the Sofitel Riyadh Hotel & Convention Centre.

It was a pleasure to meet old friends, see new faces, and engage in a fascinating exchange of ideas and experiences.

MOU Signed for Strategic Legal Partnership with the Italian Embassy in KSA

We are delighted to announce a landmark Memorandum of Understanding between the Embassy of Italy in Saudi Arabia and Feras Al Shawaf Law Firm. This collaboration solidifies the Embassy’s engagement with our firm for legal services, alongside our commitment to providing probono support. His Excellency Carlo Baldocci, Italian Ambassador, and Roberto Mariani, Chief of Staff were present at the signing along with Dr. Feras Al Shawaf.

Al Bawani Acquisition

Acted for ABH, the parent company of one of the leading construction groups of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), on the sale of its minority shareholding to the Public Investment Fund (the sovereign investment arm of KSA) for SAR 1 billion (approx.).

Standardisation of Employment Contracts of Royal Reserve

The Firm successfully reviewed and standardised the employment contracts of a royal reserve in KSA, after benchmarking the employment contracts against leading local and international contract precedents.

Establishment of Deloitte’s RHQ

Feras Al Shawaf Law Firm acted as local counsel for Deloitte and establish its Regional Headquarter in KSA.

Establishing SCG’s presence in KSA

Acted on behalf of SCG Thailand in advising them on their foreign direct investment in KSA. Provided detailed advice on the regulatory compliance requirements for investing in KSA and establishing a trading company. Subsequently, incorporated the trading company for SCG in KSA.

This transaction is significant as SCG became the first Thai company (after 20 years) to be granted the permission to establish a place of business in KSA.
