About Abdu

Abdu is a senior bilingual (Arabic and English) lawyer who has been practicing law in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since 2007. He plays an integral role in the Firm’s Corporate practice and heads the Firm’s dispute resolution team. With over 17 years of experience, Abdu regularly advises clients on a wide range of local laws, including capital market transactions, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, labour and employment matters, agency and distribution agreements, corporate restructuring, and the establishment of local and foreign entities. He is highly skilled in drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts and possesses hands-on knowledge of the procedural aspects involved in complex commercial transactions.

Abdu has significant experience acting on major corporate transactions. Notably, he assisted one of the leading construction companies in Saudi Arabia with the sale of its minority shareholding to a government entity for SAR 1 billion. He has also advised prominent Saudi groups on joint venture arrangements in sectors such as solid waste management and has worked with both local and international clients across various industries, including Al Bawani, KDD KSA, Riyadh Bank, and Deloitte, among others.

As head of the Firm’s dispute resolution team, Abdu is instrumental in developing effective case strategies to safeguard the clients' interests. His expertise spans a broad range of commercial disputes, including contractual disputes, labour and employment issues, construction disputes, real estate matters, and both international and local arbitrations. His leadership and experience ensure that the Firm continues to deliver exceptional legal services to its clients in the corporate and dispute resolution sectors. Abdu’s team has represented corporate giants such as Al Bawani, Huawei, KDD KSA, and Mobily.
